Year after year, a multitude of aspirants strive for limited spots. To begin your journey, you must complete the application process. Here’s a thorough guide to help you apply effortlessly.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

To initiate your application, visit the authorized site of BPSC: www.bpsc.gov.bd. This is the exclusive portal for BCS exam announcements and applications. Stay cautious from unofficial websites.

Step 2: Download the Circular

Search for the latest BCS exam circular under the “Circulars”. The circular shares all essential information, such as candidate prerequisites, application deadlines, examination syllabus, and other key instructions.

Step 3: Check Eligibility

Go through the conditions, which include age limits, educational qualifications, and citizenship requirements. The standard age limit is from 21 to 30 years for general candidates, but modifications are available for specific groups such as freedom fighter family members or disabled individuals.

Step 4: Register Online

Navigate to the online registration form (Form 1). Input all essential fields, such as basic information, academic qualifications, and job preferences. Cross-check for any errors. Providing incorrect information can lead to disqualification.

Step 5: Upload Documents

You must upload a current copyright-sized photograph (300 pixels by 300 pixels, file size below 100 kilobytes) and your signature (dimension of 300x80 pixels, file size below 60KB). Check that these follow the instructions mentioned in the circular.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

After submitting the online form, you will be provided with a User ID. Use this ID to settle the application fee through Teletalk SMS services. The fee is usually 700 BDT for general candidates and BDT one hundred for others. Follow the guidelines provided in the circular.

Step 7: Confirm Submission

Once the fee is paid, you will get a confirmation SMS with a Transaction ID. Keep this ID for future reference. Go back to the application portal to confirm the payment status.

Final Tips

Send your application well before the deadline to steer clear of last-minute glitches.

Print a copy of the finalized document for future use, such as for getting the admit card.

By following these steps, you can finalize your application for the BCS exam and move closer your desired position in the Bangladesh Civil Service. Best wishes!
